He has won more than 25 BMI Awards and CAN’T GET USED TO LOSING YOU, TEENAGER IN LOVE & LITTLE SISTER have each logged more than 2,500,000 feature broadcast performances in the USA. SUSPICION over 3,000.000, THIS MAGIC MOMENT over 6,500,000 and SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME has now clocked up more than a staggering 7,000,000 plays! SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME is one of the 25 Most Performed Songs of All Time and was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame As A Recording Of Lasting, Qualitative And Historical Significance; It was also nominated for Grammy Song Of The Year in 1960 and ranked 182 on Rolling Stones Songs of All Time. In 1992, Mort was elected into The Songwriter´s Hall of Fame. In March 2010 Mort was inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in New York.
